Update Required for Endpoints with TDR Host Sensors

05 Dec 2023

Earlier this year, with the introduction of ThreatSync, we unveiled EDR Core and outlined a schedule for the end-of-life (EOL) of TDR Host Sensors. The EOL date for TDR was set for September 30, 2023; as of that date, the TDR management user interface in WatchGuard Cloud was disabled, and Host Sensor protection was no longer available. Consequently, any endpoint with a TDR Host Sensor still installed is no longer safeguarded against threats.

Effective November 27, 2023, the system tray icon for installed TDR Host Sensors has been changed from a check mark to an exclamation point. This alteration signifies that the TDR Host Sensor no longer protects that specific endpoint against threats. Your customers may bring up this change, and we strongly advise upgrading those Host Sensors to Endpoint Security as soon as possible.

Note: To help simplify the bulk uninstallation of Host Sensors for admins, we have re-enabled the TDR management user interface in WatchGuard Cloud.

Where can I find more information?
